As with the light of stars, God’s voice arrives after his death, saying simply: I’m dead.

The idea of accumulation, that tomorrow will be added to today, this is enough to drive a man to suicide. But if the total begins at x and proceeds to zero –

Either a) each sexual experience you have is added on to all the previous ones, or b) each sexual experience you have is subtracted from an unknown total –

The former is hell, the latter is permanent joy.

If you can’t forget, as Nietzsche advises, simply believe that time goes down rather than up, it amounts to the same thing.
